1. Children not allowed on decks without adult supervision
2. Keep vehicles locked when unattended
3. Bring valuables inside when not attended
4. Keep pool gates locked when not using pool area
5. Children not allowed in pool area without adult supervision
6. Do not empty hot ashes from grill or cigarettes into rubber trash cans/use a metal can for hot ashes
7. Follow posted pool area rules at all times
8. Use caution on entry stairs when stairs or feet are wet
9. No smoking inside home
10. No candles burning inside home
11. All small appliances (tv, coffee pot, hair dryers, curling irons,iron, etc.) turned off when leaving the house
Beach Safety Tips

2. Don't go out in the ocean without others with you
3. If you feel rip currents - Follow lifeguard instructions obtained before entering the ocean
4. Read Rip Current Information Flyers with your group before going into the ocean
5. If you step on a Sting Ray go to the nearest lifeguard for medical aid.
6. Jelly Fish or Man-of-War stings - go to nearest lifeguard for medical aid and instructions on care.
7. If a child is missing go immediately to a lifeguard.
8. Police your area for broken glass before you settle in.
9. Use sunscreen and tanning lotion on all exposed areas of your body to prevent sunburn
10. Always have an umbrella for breaks from the sun - Umbrella provided by Sea La Vie - in storage unit under house.
EMERGENCY HELP: Each lifeguard is manned with a first aid box, rescue can, and hand-held Two-Way radio with direct contact the Police Dept and Mobile Supervisors.

* No alcohol, glass, nudity, littering, fires, cooking, or commercial actiivties
* No unauthorized vehicles allowed on the beach: do not block emergency or beach accesses
* No fireworks allowed in Fireworks-Free Zones
* No animals and/or bicycles allowed between 10 AM and 5 PM, May 1st - Labor Day
* When allowed, animals must be on a hand-held leash 7 ft or less and under control at all times
* No golf carts allowed on beach from March 1 - October 31
* No sleeping on the beach from 9 PM to 8 AM
* No swimming past chest deep water
* Must obey all Lifeguard Advisories and Warnings
* No acquatic activity shall take place within 75 yards of any pier
* Flotation devices not attached to one's person must be fabric covered, with a 360 rope (minimum 3/8" diameter and 10% slack) or be US Coast Guard Approved
* Hazardous activities shall be controlled by lifeguard and/or police.
* Shading devices, other than circular umbrellas with a center pole no greater than 7'6" in height and with a circular shade no greater than 6'2" in diameter shall be allowed on the beach. This includes, but is not limited to, tents, tarps, cabanas, pavilions, sportsbrellas, or similiar devices, or any material mounted on supports. No unattended beach equipment shall be left on the beach between 7 PM and 8 AM
* There is no parking in public access area overnight
* During season surfing is allowed between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM except within 300 feet of the fishing pier. Off season (September 15 to May 15), surfing will be allowed anywhere along the beach from sunup to sundown except within 300 feet of a fishing pier.
* Surfboards and other similar devices of a hard or solid nature are not allowed on the beach between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM except within 270 feet of 12th Avenue North and extending northward to 14th Avenue North between the area starting 300 feet north of 13th Avenue South extending southward to the southern most boundary of the town.
* It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in commercial fishing on the public beach within town limits
* It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the practice of shark fishing from the beaches adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean within town limits.
Violations of ordinances have fines up to $500 plus court costs..
